hmmm...let's see. I've only broken a couple. I've lost two rods - both in Alaska. Setting up camp and breaking down camp every day and well...sometimes you forget something.
I've broken rods in the trunk of someones car (I guess I shouldn't put it in there like it's the shell of my truck), high sticking a silver, and then the general "ooops - I knew I should have put it back in the case so the cooler wouldn't slide over on it!
)
So probably less than half a dozen broken rods...oh!...there was also the one I broke while backpacking in the sierra...while trying to get shelter under a tree in the thunderstorm. That's when I saw Shawn do the 80 meter dash in 1.8 seconds.
