HTC Hats from DFG 17 Years, 3 Months ago

The Ca Heritage and Wild Trout Program (HWTP) is sending hats out to the first 100 anglers to complete the Heritage Trout Challenge. Mine came today. They are sending out not one, but two hats to each angler! Each hat is custom embroidered with your certificate number on the back.

Here is the letter from Roger Bloom of the HWTP.

Here are the hats.

The last time I spoke to DFG they said that somewhere around 30 anglers had completed the challenge thus far. That leaves about 70 pairs of hats for completing the challenge so get out there!

Simon and I got ours the other day - they are good quality hats, a nice touch from DFG...Our friends (also a father-and-son team) finished their Challenge late last year and they were Nos. 33 and 34...still a lot of hats to go if they are going to #100...

I'll also encourage y'all to get out there and catch a few native trout - and support this program. It is one of many good things DFG is doing at the present time...
