Well Sat. morning I woke up to 1/2 inch of snow at my philbrook cabin. I was certain the deer would be hanging by noon. Well I saw a lot of does, passed up one extremely small buck that could have been eaten for dinner in one setting. But it was beutiful up there. It was a winter wonderland. I sure hope we get a ton of the white stuff this year.
This morning I was taken to school by a huge buck. He teased me by showing he his antlers once and then snuck out. Oh well, hopefully he gets lucky a bunch this fall and produces more monster bucks. All-in-all a great season. I watched my buddy shoot his first deer which was an incredible buck, and I got to spend quite a bit of time in the mountains. Time to go fishing.
