Bugology was never my strong pont. I do know it's a mayfly and not a caddis fly. What's your guess? It was taken in Norcal.

I know a gray adams is a good tie to use, especialy a parachute pattern, and a PT is a killer nymph pattern.

I'd go blue wing olive on that one, but I always say that. my other fly fishing friends think I'm so smart

looks like a bwo to me
a simple pattern
hook size 18 fine wire
tail 2 paint brush fibers or suitable tailing material
wing gray cdc tied loop style
body brown olive thread
rib gray floss optional
