Our offer has been accepted... moving closer to water, trees, fish and all manner of good things. Assuming (which is probably bad to do) that nothing bad happens, the wife, baby and I will soon (by the end of the month) be residents of El Dorado County and the fine town of Placerville.

Looking forward to it. Any of you locals want to give up your secret local spots... I won't take notes (but I may mark it on my garmin).

Good on you, bro. Much better location given your work (and hobby!).
Better place to raise the kids too.
Should make it easier to make the Nov. board meeting as well.

Assuming I'm not building a fence, painting or otherwise finishing un-packing... but yes... agreed on all points.

There was a murder down the street early this morning... seems like a good time to move...

East side? Heck, I thought you meant Bishop or something!

Any way, that's some nice country you'll be in and congrats Bjorn. Housing is definitely cheaper than your current digs.

We visited some friends in Diamond Springs (nearby) last summer and the Cosumnes River looks interesting, although I don't know how it holds up in the summer months for trout.

That's cool. We moved to mountains too. I don't even know the county - just know I am in Truckee.

Life is better in the mountains.

I unfortunately have to go back to Bay Area to work.

That's great. Boy are you in for a slow down in lifestyle.
You won't know what to do with yourself in Placerville.

I'm down the hill just a bit in Rocklin...45 minutes. We'll
have to "hook" up and fish. Pardon the stupid pun.

I grew up in Dunsmuir... by contrast Placerville is a major metro area!

Let the fishing commence (after we've put everything away and the long list of things that will need doing have been done, of course)
