This Saturday, June 9th, the Shasta Trinity Fly Fishing Club and The Fly Shop are hosting the third Spey Festival at the Barge Hole on the Sacramento river near Anderson, CA. There is a full program of tips on spey fishing and a number of reps on spey rods and equipment, there will also be demos on tying spey flies by Jan Hale and Justin Miller. Also included is a free lunch. If you are interested in learning about spey rod fishing or are an experienced spey caster this is a great event to attend.

10:15 to 11:00 Michael Caranci: Fishing with longer spey lines, swing and top water flies
11:15 to 11:45 Andrew Harris: spey rods for lower Sac trout

1:50 to 2:30 Jeff Putnam: Problem solving spey casting

3:40 to 4:30 Mike McCune: Advanced spey casting techniques
4:30 to 5:00 Gino Bernero distant casting concepts to increase distance
Anyone may continue past 5 pm if they so desire to do so. The event officially ends at 5 pm.

Raffle will take place after lunch every ½ hour. $5 for a ticket, 5 for $20
