Just received word from a reliable source that she has been given 48 hours to vacate Grasshopper Campground on Davis Lake. She was told that unless emergency funding is received all the water will be turned off on Friday (and will remain off regardless of funding after that point) and all campgrounds and access will be closed. This was explained as a result of the government shutdown we are experiencing. So much for many of our trips. Betty is canceling the rest of her plans and so am I. I would suggest that anyone planning to fish a federally funded fishing spot check the status before spending gas money.
