Bjorn,

We live in Ripon, near Modesto, less than 2 hours from Placerville.
But if you need/want help, I have family and friends that live in Marysville/Yuba City, so my boys & I could come help you out and then head down and spend the night there, ready for the meeting the next day.

Be happy to help out if it means you can make the meeting...

You're in for a treat...the entire American River watershed is now open for C&R in the off season. There are an unbelievable number of great streams in between Placerville and Auburn. I wouldn't bother with the Consumnes, unless you're into catching hundreds of over-populated, under-grown smallies.

Looking forward to it. I've heard mixed reviews of most of the American above folsom... some folks have said they have done really well, but while rafting it, I've hardly seen a fish... can't wait to explore.

Forgot about that...I thought Redding, but Dunsmuir....wow.

Ya, Placerville will be a rippin' party arena That place
is cool around Christmas time- very quaint. Love it.

When you get things settled with the Fam, let's hit the river.
Haven't seen you since we ran into each other on the Little
Truckee some years back. A few pounds and gray hairs ago

We'll be in touch

Bjorn,

I am sure that you have been to see Mr. Frank Seifert down on Broadway, haven't you? If not check out Off The Hook. It is located across Broadway from the Mt. Democrat building (until he moves).

Now that you are up in this neck of the woods look me up. I might even watch a soccer game with you!

As for the Consumnes, I have been up here in Pioneer for almost three years and have never heard any reports. Most of the land around it is private and inaccessible (from what I have heard). If you are willing to head farther south you will find the Mokelumne and another river that starts with a C still farther south. Both can offer pretty good fishing. If you are heading this way give me a shout.
