You get a Karma point for that. These ones suck.

Looking forward to roll out of the new site! But it sure must be hard to focus on it after endless silvers and rainbows!

Testing a reply.

The threaded view will soon be modified to be similar to the "old" board.

It's about time you got back to work on this!
What, you've been home for like two days now, right?

Yep - lots to do! 17 Years, 4 Months ago
This board software has been undergoing a lot of changes in the last month - the final "stable" version has just been released. Excuse the occasional "mess" while I get things configured. I just installed the new viewing template - color scheme is much better.

I still need to migrate over the emoticons from the old board, fix the threaded view (currently gets smooshed to the right), and a few other odds and ends...shouldn't be too long to get this rolled out.

Yep - still a few things to fix for the new board. Is that "random image" still showing up in the middle of the logo area? I need to figure out how to fix that for IE 6.x (which I think is the browser you said you were using).

More pics will follow on AK...perhaps some video clips here in a few days.

Random Image... 17 Years, 4 Months ago
The random image is still there, but here's a clue I just discovered: It does not show up if you are not logged in.

I also noticed that the posts in this thread are out of order relative to when they were posted. Phil's post and my last post are both showing up at the top of the list. Perhaps this is also an IE6 bug?

order of posts 17 Years, 4 Months ago
Hey Buzz - when you say out of order, do you mean that the posts are out of order in the "New Board - Last Seven Posts" listing on the main page?

There are two views - Threaded and Flat. The Threaded view works somewhat like the old board except I'm still fixing various things (like highlighting which post in the thread is currently being read, emoticons on the subject line, etc.). The Flat view shows the oldest on top and the newest posts towards the bottom - you can toggle that view (Threaded View vs. Flat View) by clicking the link on the top nav bar of the board.

I also had to adjust the date offset - the first two posts had the wrong offset until I fixed it - that made the posts appear to happen in the future. Let me know if you still see problems with it.

Thanks!

Re:order of posts 17 Years, 4 Months ago
No, the posts are out of order on this thread.
I am viewing the the default view, which I assume is "flat" mode.

The threads are in this order:
7
8
2
3
4
5
10
11
12
13

Note that posts number 1, 6, & 9 are missing from (my view of) the thread.

I'm going to switch over to threaded view and check out how it looks.

Thanks!

Threaded View 17 Years, 4 Months ago
Works great! If possible, you should make that the default for all users.

Buzz

Hey, (not on topic) let's plan on hitting the T again this year. It looks like it is shaping up to potentially be even better than last year!
