There are steelhead to be caught on the Deschutes and Ducks to be got in Washington for an upcoming T-fest.

Have a great trip - the Deschutes is hard to beat.

I fished the Deschutes for 4 days a little over a week ago (drifted 25 miles). The fishing was so/so. I think we were too early since we saw more people catching fish as we got lower on the river, but also a lot more bait fisherman. Swing fishing produced a little action, but I did much better nymphing. Once you find fish, stay on them. We found the schools far and few between.

The rafting and camping was awesome. Very relaxing regardless of the fish.
