QUALITY CONTROL Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Chico, CA seeks F/T permanent QC/QA Manager. Requires B.S.-Biology or other 4-yr bench-science degree (foreign educational equivalent acceptable), with min 5 yrs progressive exp. Knowledge of the brewing process, understanding of the quality assurance + control requirements, working knowledge/exp w/development & implementation of GMP and HACCP systems, optimizing CIP systems to ensure quality, with microbiological ID techniques/assessment, and with development + implementation of consumer complaint and sensory systems. Duties: Test new products, check for quality and nutritional value of raw and finished products, evaluate beer processing & storage operations, assist in the development of QA programs, study methods to improve aspect of beers, develop new methods of preserving, processing, packaging, storing etc., and inspect ingredients to ensure for compliance w/govt regs + standards, confer with peers.
