The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

Willie, TroutDale, and my friend Diane all came to help me collect fish for my thesis this weekend. We didn't catch much (only 4 pikeminnow), but every fish gets me closer to finishing my thesis. Thank you guys! I really appreciate the help! It was a gorgeous fall weekend on the North Fork Feather. If you are interested in helping me, I will be going back out this weekend. Looks like you all had a very successful and fun weekend ! Glad you had some help and it looks like some very good help at that.

Our band had a very nice send off gig for Bobbie, our base player this weekend. It was fun but sad at the same time . In addition to being a great base player she is a very sweet gal and we will miss her a lot. She has retired and is moving to Idaho. Hmmm, maybe that is another good reason to go up there, see her and mix in a little fishing as well .

Anybody out there play base or know of any good base players in the Sacramento area?

We did have a great time with a wonderful crowd to say goodbye to Bobbie. We think the train background is pretty good as well for the upcoming CD .

Bobbie has actually already moved to a home in Boise. If you know of a band that is coming together in Boise and needs a great base player (and wonderful person!) we should definitely try to let them know about each other. Bobbie is actually still here in California until the end of this week as our band is doing another gig this Saturday. Hey Michael,

Are you still dreaming of that great Alaska trip Like I am ?! . Man that was the trip of a lifetime for me. I can't thank you enough for the invitation to be part of that trip. I have only been fishing once since our trip, on the Lower Sac. Need to get out and do some more here before long, maybe the Trinity again? .

Are you back in the swing with work now? Man you were off for a long time .

The new CD is not to far off now and we are super excited about it. I have each of my 3 kids as a guest artist on a different song and each one adds something special to it . Guess you could saw I am a proud poppa!

I love anything with the name Owyhee in it. I canoed and fished this river out of Rome about 5 years running in the late 90's. Great River with lots of smallies to be had on about every cast .
