Greetings all.
New to the board.
I'm coming to California and will have a couple of days this weekend to get out and wet a line.
Was thinking about either the American ,Putah Creek or the Sacramento.
I'd appreciate any suggestions, as well as the name of a good shop to pick up some flies anywhere from Vacaville to Sacramento.
Many thanks for any input.

John

not sure if you are aware or not but putah creek has mudsnails. don't spread them around and especially don't take them back to your streams

The American (in or close to Sacramento) may be a good choice...check with Kiene's Fly Shop in Sacto for up to date info and recommendations for flies.

have fun,

Paul

Hey John - if you have a little time you might want to try something a little more scenic like the Truckee...you might really like that if you have never been over that way.
