Back when Peter Jennings was doing the news he had a segment call "It's your money" that he'd do every now and then. In one of these segments he reported on some kind of facility that the Federal Government was building in Texas. I can't remember now what the place was for... Anyway, it was supposed to cost $20 million to build but ended up missing it's deadline by over a year and costing closer to $50 million when it was finished. After they were finished, they realized that the air conditioning ducts had all been installed or designed incorrectly(I can't remember which)and the whole system had to be ripped out and redone. That was supposed to cost $2 million but ended up taking longer and costing almost $5 when they were finally finished. So this facility was finally finished, 2 years behind schedule. Now get this! The section of the Government that this facility was for went in and looked at the place and decided that it was outdated was now obsolete! They never moved into the place! Then they spent another $10 million knocking it down and cleaning it up!
