Ole Sammie, my dog, was the Grand Prize winner for the Boston Whaler Memories Contest for their 50th Anniversary Calendar. I took this picture at Eagle Point Lake Davis. The prize was an 80 GB classic ipod. Sure do love my whaler and of course the old cover girl herself - Sammie Pete See Hmmmmm....for the picture.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.
