egg patterns will work in late October and November. I've used a large stone fly pattern as a point fly with an egg pattern drifting as a dropper. If you only fish with one fly, drift the egg pattern with enough weight to get close to the bottom, if not bouncing on the bottom.

Other patterns that have worked well for me on the LSAC include the Tan or Green Fox Poopahs, flashback PTs, micro mays, and soft hackles. if the day is cold and damp, look for BWOs to be coming off. If its sunny, you can almost always find caddis.

The best wadeable places to fish are up in Redding, which is about a half hour north of Red Bluff. The Redding Flyshop has maps of places to fish. With reasonable water levels in the Fall, there should be a lot of wadeable area to fish.
