Need some help.... 16 Years, 10 Months ago
I tried registering 5 times...I enter in all the required info and when I send it a page appears saying I'm not "authorised" to view this resource with a log in box. I tried logging in and then a page appears saying it's not a valid username/password.

Did I offend someone by asking for assistance???

I've still have not had any luck in registering; even submitted a "lost password" and clicked on the "Report to Moderator. 'Course since I'm not registered I can't even e-mail Admin to request a password...

My browser (IE 6) is set to automatically detect network and my security setting is at Medium High, am not running any firewall programs, nor any google search software.

This is most perplexing...

Have you interviewed with one of the steering committee yet? You know, they don't let just anyone post around here these days.

Just kidding.

Can someone help Dano???

"Rivers course through my dreams, rivers cold and fast, rivers well-known and rivers nameless, rivers that seem like ribbons of blue water twisting through wide valleys, narrow rivers folded in layers of darkening shadow, rivers that have eroded down deep in a mountain's belly, sculpted the land, peeled back the planet's history exposing the texture of time itself."
— Harry Middleton (Rivers of Memory)

"Each night as I haul myself onto the back of county garbage truck no. 2, there is a familiar wind, some thread of moonglow or starlight, a splatter of dark rain on my skin, something that stirs my memory, and again, if even for a brief moment, I am on some mountain river, some stretch of bright water, full of possibilities, including the possibility of trout, perhaps one that, when hooked, will haul me in and out of time, in and out of life's mysterious and frightening, wondrous and incomprehensible continuum, even to the edges of the universe." -- Harry Middleton

Sorry for the delay.... 16 Years, 10 Months ago
Hey Dano,

You have not offended anyone. I am sorry that there has been a delay in helping you out. All of us who moderate and are a part of the steering committee are volunteers, and we do this in our spare time. I think you just happened to ask for help at a time when all of us were really busy. Sorry about that. I will try to figure out what is going on, and get the issue fixed. It may not get fixed until tomorrow. I think it is related to a cache bug that we have been working on, and I am not sure I can fix it without G.M.'s help.

Again I apologize for the inconvenience, and I am sorry none of us offered to help right away. We will get it fixed, and we look forward to your posts!

Try it now 16 Years, 10 Months ago
Hey Dano,

G.M. fixed the problem, and it should be working now. If you could give it another try, you should be able to register. I am very sorry you had to deal with that frustration! Thanks for your patience!

Let us know if you have any other problems. You can either post it here, or you can email me at dawnela[at]juno.com

but, for good reasons, they don't allow me access to the whatyamathingie that actually makes the BB work,,,,

I can edit stuff,,,

I can move stuff arround..

but logins, passwords, etc, are outside my comfort range,,heck, I even crashed my nephew's gameboy.

I am sure GM will get it fixed

Thank you, Dawn.

I apologize for sounding a tad cranky; we've been sort of snowed in up here and I've got a pretty bad case of cabin fever.

Any who, 'pears I've not been blacklisted and I'm good to go.
