Well, I just returned from a business trip to Japan where I used some extra time to finish my flies for the swap. I guess you could say these flies are now foreign made imports.

i'm messing around with tube flies cuz i really want to learn how to tie and use them. i'm really hoping to make some deadly bass patterns for the pond. anyway, if its ok with everyone, i'm not going to make a bunch of one pattern. I'd rather make a bunch of different stuff then mark can sort them out and you get what you get. that way i get some practice and if you actually use them ( ) let me know how they worked. i'm going to include a hook with a short section of 12# leader. you can switch it out with what you use. i'm a light tackle freak so 2# is good enough

i've been trying differnet stuff and have found hackle tails don't really work well with tube flies. the palmered marabou patterns look great and cant wait to use them myself. the caddis and stones i've done look kinda goofy. oh well, its live and learn i guess. if anyone has any good tips/info please pass it along.

tubes are new to me and they presented challenges you wouldn't have tying on a hook. i always look at swaps as a chance to try new things so good luck with them. i'll have a 12# leader section and a 105 egg hook included with each one

be interested in trying that,never have tied with a tube

never tied 'em never fished 'em. over the winter i'm going to make up some for bass next spring. maybe some for the salt too. i saw one website were the guy made up different pieces/colors and then slid them together. i thought for bass i could make some weighted pieces and some floaters, string them together and fish it like a plastic. i dunno

Finally found time to get to the post office today and get my swap flies off in the mail to you . Man have things been hectic lately. I haven't even had time to think about fishing . Hope to get up on the Trinity sometime this next month and give all those great flies you will be sending out pretty quick a try up there.
