The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

Looks like some old NCFFB folks will gather Oct 5 thru 12 at Davis lake. Folks will arrive at various times during week. So drop in if you can.

Campground should have plenty of room at this time. No reservations, so just show up and claim a site. There will be some sort of notice on camp entrance bulletin board as to which sites we are at.

Tentatively, we will gather at Lightning Tree campground. There may not be any water there, but they keep the bathrooms open. No plans yet for a pot luck, have to see when the most folks will be there. More on this later.

So far, BR, Sanger Dave, Charlie J, bluegrass Bill, and Carpy have said they will most probably be there at some time during week.

Please post on the board if you are coming and when you might arrive.

Yeah, I may go. Though I may arrive more like on Oct 4 (Sat) and leave Mon or Tues...TBD. I haven't used my float tube in years. It'll be interesting to find out if it still floats. I assume so.

Not much new to report, but some of us will be there beginning on the 5th.

Lightning Tree Campground
Will post a sign on camp bulletin board as to which sites we are in. We will try to share sites. Lots of double sites that fit 3-4 cars.
Bring water container in case water is turned off and we have to get it elsewhere
We will do a pot luck bbq sometime during week.
If for some reason Lightning tree campground is closed, next choice would be Grasshopper Campground.
If you have a tarp, bring it in case it rains (hey, it could happen!!)
If you have wood, bring some, and a chair for fireside.

Yep, just confirmed time off with work. I'll probably get there on Saturday morning. I'll likely be staying through Monday Oct 6 and drive home that afternoon. I think I have a float tube...in other words, I know I have one, but whether it still floats etc is TBD. I have some flippers as I recall. Its been a while.

It'll be good to get out there and see everyone.

FYI. Small group as some have bailed. Sanger Dave and I will arrive Sunday the 5th. Carpy some time on 7th or 8th. Don't know about anyone else. Post which site you are in on bulletin board at entrance. More fish for us!

Well with the help of the road gods I may drag my ancient ass in there ... as long as a fire doesn't start up or ebola strikes....in CA area 8-14 Oct.

Hey Harry,

May the road gods distil coffee beans as it were manna upon your path. As for me, I had to take the Xterra down to the shop to get the radiator replaced today; it sprung a bad leak yesterday. So, I'm hoping they'll have it done by 4pm today.

I'll be arriving Sunday late morning. Hope to see you there.
