Where to go? 17 Years, 1 Month ago

Still getting used to this new format.
I posted this on the campfire and go "0" response so thought I would try here:
I have the opportunity (rare these days) to take a weekend and fish and I am looking for suggestions on where I can go this late in the season. I haven't had the opportunity to fish much this late in the year so I am hoping a few of you can point me in the right direction for a few last trout of 2007.
I am leaning towards the following: Anyplace east of Chico (Deer, Feather above Almanor, etc); NF Yuba; Burney area (Pit?)
Thanks for any input and maybe we can meet up at one of these places? Oct. 19-22...

I think why you haven't recieved any responses is that there are so many great places to go! ALL the places you list are good this time of year. I also like the Truckee and east Sierra this time of year (gorgeous fall colors!).
I will be fishing on the North Fork Feather that weekend (also good this time of year), but I will be collecting fish for my study and not targeting trout.

You can't miss with fall fishing.
You mentioned the Pit. I'd do the Pit, Hat Creek, Baum Lake, and Burney Creek.

Yeah, you can't go wrong over that direction. Burney should have a lot of good fishing. Another option that you might think about is an upper sac and McCloud combo. Spend a day or two at each place...love the lower McCloud.
