Remember when I used to be Peter? Remember the bluegill pond for kids (but dads also allowed)? Used to post off and on, and then maybe last summer I had other things to do and plain stopped posting. I guess that is when you almighties of the Forum Steering committee decided to strip me of me buttons and throw me out to the squawfish. So, when, two or three days ago the first turtle sunning itself slid off the the float, and I saw the first bluegill swirls I thought "Aha! time to alert everyone that that time of year is here again, and that the kids are welcome." so I pop up the NFFB website, type in my old user name of Peter and the password, and am told abruptly that I do not exist. Try again, same results. Luckily Greg's email addy is still on my list, so I email with a pathetic call for help, and Dawn replies. Suggests a new user name would be appropriate, so that is what I do, and now am Pablo, a nickname first laid on me in 1942. Once everyone is used to me as Pablo I am going to try to steal back Peter again, but I better wait.
If you have got this far, be aware the the bluegill indeed are up, and anyone can come try for them again. I know Jet and Joey are itching.
A side note: A year ago we sold this property and are building a new house just up the hill on a 5 acre piece we own. Still living here until move-in, about a month away. New owner of the pond lives in So Cal and won't move up for a few years. He doesn't fish, but he doesn't mind my letting kids poach. even their dads and grand dads can come.
So that's the news from Lake Woebegone. Hope everyone is alive and kicking
