Hey Bluegrass and others... Delta trip? 15 Years, 6 Months ago
I'm looking at May 2nd, Saturday to try and head out with my Pontoon Float tube to the Delta. Hoping to get rid of my striper skunk. I would enjoy having other float tubes, Pontoon tubes, canoes, kayaks... etc... to join along...
I'm Looking at Big Break Marina area. Unless someone here has another spot they just have to fish instead.

Is there anybody intrested??

Hey Dave,

I am interested . Seems I need an invitation to find the motovation to make the time to get out there and fish these days. Let me check on a couple things and get back to you for sure to make sure I can follow through on this. I haven't had my float tube out in a long time and need to make sure it still holds air .

Best wishes!

Bill

Don't you have a canoe? That would be better... Playing with the tide currents and all..

Hope you can make it..

Hey Dave,

I do in fact have both a canoe and a kayak. You are probably correct in that one of them would be a better choice for the delta. My wife and I both have Hobie sit on tops which I think would be easier for just myself to get around with out there rather than using my 17 foot old town tripper canoe. Here is Dana fishing out of hers a while back.

Still need to check on a few things but I will do my best to try and meet you out there for a days fishing!

Bill

Hey Dave,

Looks like I will have to pass on this trip, darn ! I just have to many things going on and I am even having a hard time keeping track of everything. I will be in Saint Louis for the next 4 days for work and then I completely forgot that I will be at a Men's Christian Conference at Warehouse Christian ministries this Saturday. I will be attending with my oldest son Jimmy who also leads the churches worship music there.

I did accomplish a couple things this weekend however so I should be ready to make a trip like this soon. I got my garage somewhat organized so I can actually get my kayak out out of the garage ! I also went through my fishing stuff and got it organized so I can grab my stuff and take off relatively easy when the next opportunity comes along.

Let me know how you do and I promise I really want to get out there with you this spring/summer to do some of this.

Hey hope you are still enjoying your music as well as your fishing. Here is a link to sample some of our bands music from our latest CD, Bob Played Here!

Best Wishes!

Men's Christian Conference (?)...Definitely a worthy thing to do.. I was going to go fishin this Saturday (Yesterday) but realized we had visiting Ministry's (Larry & Brenda Bazetets from Baton Rouge )for 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)... So I had put off fishing for "our" Christian Conference, till next week. It was great !!!

Sorry you can't make it. So it'll be a solo for me even though my wife hates me going it alone... That just means more fish for me ;o)

I'm still playing the git-box allot and I Love your music for sure !!!

Thanks.

Change in Plans.
Well, Something came up, I'll be in Atwater till noon. So, looking at the map, the closes striper water will be at San Luis Forebay. I'll try to hit that piece of water, if this storm comming in doesn't raise big winds....

We'll see if I make it!! Not looking very promising right now... :'(

Hey Dave,

Hope you get out to give it a try anyway. I had a good trip to St Louis this week and just got back home late last night. I will see how far I am behind at the office today and then tomorrow is the Men's conference. Whew, sure wish things would slow down some!

Good Luck !
