What's up with the McCloud and Mud Creek? 10 Years ago  
Does Mud Creek usually mess up the McCloud that bad? Or is something different going on?

I was thinking of going up but I've heard chit chat that its muddied up.

Hmmm.

Not sure if this is your answer but during July or August the McCloud got really muddy and the explanation I heard at The Fly Shop was the drought has melted part of the glacier exposing mud which washed down. With the rain we are receiving maybe that is still going on until there is a hard freeze.
