Fall/Life/Sentimental rambling 17 Years, 4 Months ago

Not sure what it is but Damn I feel good...even though I feel like shit right now (some sort of flu bug onset by exhaustion). Fall is here and I feel so alive. Spent a great weekend hunting with my my dad and mybest friend, mornings and evenings on ridgetops glassing for deer. It was cold and it felt great to sleep up in the mountains. We shot an awesome buck, a buck of a lifetime in California. I am hearing great reports of steelhead in the rivers, waterfowl are flying south, mountain quail season is allready under way, pheasant season not far behind...Damn I love this time of year. I want to go stand on a mountain top and howl at the moon.
Best of all my baby is due in November. I am so excited to see my new baby. Can't wait. LIFE IS GOOD

I'm having thoughts of Velma Mays and October Caddis with a few steelheads on the side.
This is the very best time of year.

Yep - best fishing is coming up!
Nice signature tag line by the way.

Good thoughts, and I'm with you. I leave the house at 5:00am every morning and I just love walking outside and feeling the snap of the cold air. I'll be up in the high country this weekend, probably the last time this year, but the steelhead are coming!

Absolutely...it's a tad bittersweet for me though being used to the rains coming in Oregon. I still love this time of year.
Congratulations on the baby! I'm hoping to get one planted one of these days...
