It's all oaver the palce up here. Can the shad be far behind? Or are they here?

Shad are in the American, but it has been very spotty. I fished with a buddy at Watt. He got one fish. Another buddy fished at Harrington and got a few. I have heard from a friend that there are some shad in the Lower Yuba already.

When the Cottonwood blooms in my backyard its time to chase the Springers.
I still have never targeted Shad on the fly, except to use as bait for Stripers but
I will one of these days.
