Finally Broke the Trinity Jinx 13 Years, 1 Month ago

This was my twelth trip to the Trinity this year with only two lost fish, then Thuesday it happened,three to hand, including one over 30", and one LDR. Fishing buddy one to hand, one lost (very nice fish), one brown. Now back to a thousand casts.

Happy for you. But if you had done what I told you years ago you would have done this a long time ago. Yep, them frog colored hand grenades are hard to beat.

Steelhead addiction...its just like any drug, you keep doin' more and more hopeing to get the same high as the first time .... sometimes it works !

Now I know the problem, I have been using red ones with an occasional black one for good measure. I have got to go look for the frog colored ones, I wonder if JStockards carries any thermite dubbing?

Truer words were never spoken, the thing is I think I do get the same "high" or rush when I hook a steelhead.

I know its an addrenelin rush but sometimes its more like
heart palputations...Congrats on a succesful trip, mine was
a blank this weekend so probably my last trek down river this
season.

Actually maybe I entered a parallel dimension where I can catch a fish and it is spelled Thuesday. I never thought about the "coy" angle, kind of like that idea.

I might have one more trip in me before hanging up the steelhead rod until Setember. I probably should quit on a positive note but that "tug is a drug" will probably get the better of me in a week or so. With steelhead in the river it is hard to go back to trout.
