Went to the VA hospital yesterday and got my new hearing aids. The entire experience there was A++++. Absolutely everyone I've had contact with in the last five appointments were kind, considerate, and friendly. That's a huge change from the old VA I knew 20 years ago.
But back to the hearing aids. About 8 years ago I went out and bought hearing aids on my own. Top of the line at $6000 each. The aids I got yesterday aren't just as good, they are 10 times better. I am hearing things I forgot about years ago. My wife hasn't had to ask me to lower my voice since 2 pm yesterday. I'm listening to the tv two levels lower than she does. Not only that but I have a compact little (3x1.5x.5"
controller I can wear around my neck or have in my pocket that connects thru Bluetooth to my cell phone letting me have super clear conversations and also will connect with a music device for music. Life is good.
I'm thinking of changing my nick to "Quiet Charlie"!!!! I know many of you will appreciate the silence!
