Fly Rod advice 10 Years, 10 Months ago

I need some advice.
I recently lost my beloved Sage 8.5' 5wt in a kayak mishap at Almanor. (Very lucky that is all I lost....long story.) So for the first time in over a decade I am in the market for a new fly rod. I am looking for a 2 piece 8.5' 5wt. I have not kept pace with developments in fly rods so I thought I would ask for some suggestions. Preferably under $500.
Any ideas?

I was lucky,,I bought my Powell rods from Press..I am thinking of getting another 5-6 wt soon and it will be a CFS rod.

My previous 5wt was a Powell I bought from Press. That one went over a large waterfall in AK. Yet another good story.....
I am hoping for a longer life for the next one. No more dramatic endings.
