i forgot how to post here.....hit the Merced at Mcd Falls yesterday. Last on rvr Aug 10 2013. been bad drought conditions...w/very low water levels...like 250 cfs in the middle of summer....for three years...otters moved in and set up house and ate many trout. short story- boated 10 trout about 16" on little black fly. knot tying very difficult. out of practice. mostly golf. friend dropped camera n rver...of course...she may have pics later...maybe not. |

Greetings from down under.
Sure is sad to see this forum fade away. Seems like just the other day when there were dozens of fellow flycasters yakking about most anything here. And arguing with skirt. Did everyone stop fishing, or just stop using this board? I only check it out every few months.
Trout season still some weeks away here in EnZed,mbut the saltwater action is just getting back underway. Hit the vise today and threw together some whitebait imitations (sort of like a wee smelt) and will go hit the river mouth soon with the 8 weight looking for some fish taco dinners.
Hope everyone back there had a great summer full of tight lines and screaming reels.
