Quesnel Lake Report - Day 4, The East Arm and a Lot More Bull! 17 Years, 2 Months ago
This thread discusses the Content article: Quesnel Lake Report - Day 4, The East Arm and a Lot More Bull!

Hey Phil - nice job on editing that article. I'll do a writeup (for the FAQ) on some tips/tricks so it's easy for others to do the same. Any information you have to add to that would be great.

As you can see from the article, I had a little trouble getting some of the formatting aroundpictures to show up just right. A little out of alignment. Struggled with that. Any suggestions?

Excellent report & formatting, Phil.
And the insignificant little formatting issues didn't even register until you mentioned them.

I cleaned it up and got the formatting correct. Had to delete photos and reestablish them.

Looks great Phil!

So, How about typing up your formatting tips & hints and add them to the FAQ?

Still doing a lot by trial and error and not sure I know how to explain what I did! But I can probably add a few tips.

FAQ item 17 Years, 2 Months ago
I see you started it - looking good!

One thing that we need to do is configure email notification so the Steering Committee will get a notification if an Author has submitted an article. This way everyone will know a new article is out there pending approval to be published.

By the way Buzz - now that you have Publisher access you have the power to publish/un-publish articles. You do this while editing a document (to do that you click the little "pencil and paper" icon next to the article title) - there is a Publish option at the bottom of the edit screen. It's pretty simple once you do it a time or two. Feel free to try it by creating your own news article (or FAQ item). There is also an option to Publish to the Front Page of the site - it's probably best in the future to let the Steering Committee as a group approve what goes there.

Looks great!...and Carpy has a spell checker :lol 17 Years, 2 Months ago
Very nice Phil - very easy to follow - makes sense to me. It would be good for someone who has never created an article to read through it while they create one.

I just added the FAQs link to the top navigation bar (black bar at top of site) so people can easily find this.

It is up and running. Just added a Publishing Articles Page to the FAQ's. Here's the link. http://www...s/Publishing-Articles/58

Thanks for the suggestion!
