When a new person registers with the site they are automatically greeted with a Private Message. Below is the current wording of the email:

Hello [NAME], Welcome to the NCFFB! Some of the new features include:

- Enhanced Profile area
- Ability to upload pictures to a profile photo gallery
- Private Messaging
- Better organization of archived posts
- Classified Section

NOTE: You can change your message board view to either a THREADED or FLAT view by updating your profile.

We haven't finalized the Steering Committee - but I want to include that to let them know that a group is helping with the direction of the board and not just me.

Neal mentioned some signup instructions being put on the old board during the two week transition period - the above email might be a good start on what to say. Is there anything else that we should add to this message?

pretty basic stuff as long as folks know they have to reregister here.

No need to over do it, but it might be nice to lay this out there in order to present the positive aspects of the new board. A sort of "here's what your getting" introduction.

In addition to your list, Greg, I would add as the last bullet:
"Same great campfire!"
