Hey Carpy and Ed,good to hear from you!

Who said anything about my still drinking wine, Paul? I never unless given the chance. Sold the vineyard in '07, so now I have to buy it.

Saw Ric Ferrentino (once aka Sparse Gray Hackle) yesterday at the dog trainer's. He has a new lab pup, Buster having gone to his reward several years back. has been so busy working that he did not get out once last season.

Thanks Charlie, I really appreciate that invite. Have fond memories of that time you hosted me and Nico the Frenchman up there at Bidwell. For those who remember Nico, he married a Portuguese girl in Mozambique and works for Total, the big French oil company exploring off shore of that part of Africa. One thing that sticks in my mind about Bidwell was that you lent me a float tube to fish one of those ponds. It was windy day, I got out there about 20 yards, and developed cramps in the calves of both legs. Thought I'd never make it back, and when I did, that I'd never be able to step ashore. But I did.

And Paul, what physical problem are you the victim of these days? I just sprouted a brand new one yesterday. The femur fracture, now just about completely healed, was taking back seat to an annoying plantar fasccitis in the foot of the other leg, but I was still pretty darn mobile. Then yesterday afternon as I was closing a cattle gate I made some kind of misstep, and suddenly that left foot felt as if an elephant had stepped on it. Can scarcely put withg on it this morning. So off to the doc again.

Cheers - maybe.

You take care Peter and keep us posted with how you are doing. I get over to Lincoln on a regular basis now because my daughter lives there and it isn't that far to get over to see you. I have some killer reds that I'd like to share.

Familiar names 13 Years, 9 Months ago
a couple threads lately include posts from a whole bunch of folks with familiar handles. Proves how many folks are still lurking here, perhaps hoping somehow for NCFFB to regain some of its former substance and content.

Best to all,
PP

Looking at that group photo at the top of this page it is hard to image that this BB is going away????

With the high water this year, high gas prices and the bad economy things have been slow everywhere.

Soon it will be summer and many will be going out there though.

Hi Ben, doing well. If you're ever up in Mendo, let me know and we'll get some rockfish & abalone for you to take home. Come in the fall and you can have it with chanterelles and porcinis!

Celone is north of FB, Mendo is south.

I lived in Little Valley for a bit, just north of Celone.

It's a small, small world
