lake is the lowest I've ever seen it and all of the usual spots I would normally fish were out of the water.

Fished several location with UC and neither one of us even had a hit. Ran into Wayano and his friend bill.

Wayano claimed he had a bite and his buddy Bill actually landed one fish. Pitiful catch rate

Weather conditions were typical Eagle Lake Cold in the mornings (20's), wind picking up later in the morning and continuing through the day. Thur afternoon I was float tubing in 16" swells and a stiff wind.

As usual UC fed me well with chicken stuffed with some kinda cheese with a funny name, fine wine and a salad.

Ranch bred and UC butchered New York Steaks last night at home as we bailed rather then spending another day.

To add to the above: Things I learned:

1. It is possible to get sea sick in a kick boat.
2. Just call it chicken with cheese, never mind the Cordon Bleu name.
3. The fishing was better than excellent, just the catching sucked.
4. Won't go back there until the lake gets more water.
5. As usual, Carpy was superb company (ie: didn't complain about the cooking and did the dishes).

Well, that makes me feel a little better about my two days on the Kings in Cedar Grove and only five fish.

River still high, and road closes Monday.

Next year for sure!

I guessed it would be as "usual weather" at Eagle but It
sure beats what I did this week at work and home !
I at least get to play tommorro morning for a couple hrs.

Good luck to to you. I ended up just skipping the drive last week. I will be over in your neck of the woods Wednesday and Thursday.

Have you guys ever fished McCoy Flat? Its not far from Eagle and while I haven't heard any real recent reports, it had been fishing well this fall. Might be a good fall back when Eagle isn't doing well.

Never fished it this late in the season. I bet is has a lot more water..
