Bah, Humbug. I drove 1,000 miles. Where's the rain? Okay, it's supposed to come this week and I'll be heading up to the coastals, probably on Wednesday. Hope you all have full nets in 2012. Who knows? This could be the year I become an honest to goodness Californian.

Bruce,

I will be on the Trinity tomorrow. It figures it doesn't rain for over a month an the day I have booked with a guide it it going to rain. I haven't been over there for two weeks because of the low water. I assume it didn't get any higher with no rain.

So far the rain has been light overnight and not much exspected with this little storm
so I doubt the flow will increase much...you'll bang a few rocks on the way
Good news is it a bit warmer here so you shouldn't have a problem with Ice in the guides

It's funny you mention ice in the guides because I just got off the phone with my fishing buddy and I was whining about the rain and I said "at least it will be a little warmer with no ice in the guides". I would expect we will hit at least one rock on the way down. Not sure which section we will be in but since we meet at the Mountain Grill I am assuming the upper river.

I've learned that 80% of the time, it's not worth changing a fishing trip due to weather reports. I've had some great days when the reports would have had me stay at home. Go slay 'em!

You are very right. I haven't caught many fish in my living room even when I was practicing casting.
