Tied a bunch of #30 Parachutes. Saw a bunch of friends who dropped by. NCL, Louie (remember him everyone?), Dave Drennan (sp?), Jan and Dennis,
Dana and Bill, Joe and Joey....was fun to get to say hello...first time to really meet NCL, thanks for stopping and talking, it was great.
As far as the show goes, every year is a little less exciting. And it's not my getting jaded. I didn't see anything that I couldn't find at the local fly shops except perhaps getting to meet guys like Kerry Berkheimer, John and Amie Hazel, and several others. Also fun to see the outrageous prices being charged for guiding and access to certain waters. Bought two t-shirts, one year's supply of salsa mix, and a little dubbing. Nothing else of interest.
Parking fees were up, beer cost was rediculous and food cost was prohibitive, even if I would stand in the long lines of folks who were obviously hungrier than me. Think I'll skip it next year. May go to the fly fishing show in Pleasanton if everything works out.
Anybody else go and see something of interest that I missed?????
