Hey Charlie,
I have to pretty much agree with your assessment. I thought in some ways this years ISE was a little better, seemed like there was a little more fly fishing stuff or at least rod makers including the one you mentioned and Anderson Rods. I was disappointed there was no fly tying materials which I have seen in past years. I enjoyed chatting with you (still think you should put a magnifier in front of your vice so us sight impaired can see those tiny devils), listening to Justin Miller and Mike Caranci give an excellant steelhead presention, and I did get to talk with a couple of steelhead destination guides including one on the Skeena system. I didn't get over to the boat pavillion, I ran out of alotted time, well actually I just got tired. Food and drink was expansive so I passed on that aspect, although that smoker outside was tempting. I say ever year this is my last year then January comes and I am wanting something to do so I go thinking this year will be better and end up going.
I did go one year to the Fly Fishing show when it was in Marin and really enjoyed the experience, now it is just a little to far to travel.
