Crappy pic

tyeing some Zonkers with ice dub underbodies...these things
almost glow in the dark...well at least they do in water.
recipe
hook...TMC 300 #2 or equivelent
thread...UNI 8/0 black
underbody....lead substitute .o25 30 wraps covered with Ice
Dub UV Pearl
body...pearl mylar tube
hackle...purple chinese neck
wing...purple rabbit stripe
head...black thread
change hook size and color to suit..black , olive , white
and orange are great with this pattern.

Nice tie. One question, so you are using the UV dubbing as an underbody to fill out the the mylar tubing? The scary thing is that photo looks clear to me so maybe I need glasses.

Mitch , the uv dubbing is for the purple glow it produces when wet
the belly for the most part is hollow unlike most of the production
Zonkers I have seen the belly is glued and pinched flat and very rigid
but I want some air to get trapped in and forced out as the fly is stripped
creating bubbled / noise we'll see if my plan comes together when I get on the
pond casting a few.
