Ed I dont know why fish hit black baitfish patterns but as long as they will I'll
have a few in the box though I mostly tye white clousers with yellow ,green or blue
and yes it is bucktail 'cept for the crystal flash and chenile body.
I tied these for low light/night or stained water conditions.

My last trip on Trinity lake , white with pearl flash was the ticket
though my brother did better with a Gitzit ...basicly the same color
but it got down faster with his drop shot rig versus my 600 grain
head....I do plan on giving the bruiser a try here in a few weeks,
soon as the water temp comes up a bit...the smallies are still down
deep .
