Just wanted to touch bases again with old acquaintences on the forum that helped to kick off my fly fishing career. I haven't forgotten the NCFFB, but with the advent of Facebook there's only so much time a guy can spend on the i-net especially when, well, see I met this girl...
Women and relationships take a lot of time, and I'm trying to do this one right, for a change. If you'll allow, I'd like to remain Arizona Bruce, since I've spent more than half of my life there, but I'm, uh, well, kind of a Californian now. The gf lives in the South Bay and I'm in the process of moving in, although I'll be commuting back and forth to AZ for work.
My photo business has crashed and burned over the past 3 years, which happens to coincide with my re-establishing contact with the gf, whom I knew in high school and found on FB. I'm starting a new biz here in CA and planning to explore new fishing areas...and maybe work a little harder
In the past year or two, I've decided that it's not all about steelhead, although they definitely are my favorites. I've done Alaska on the cheap, fished for some great browns during the Green Drake hatch in southern CO in the Conejos River and hit my old home water the San Juan River in northern NM a few times, but mostly I've been fishing in NorCal. Life is a bit tough, but life is good.
I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and great times with those you love,
Arizona Bruce
