Hi all,
I haven't done much fishing in the last two years due to a bone on bone thing in both knees. Anyway I couldn't stand it any longer so went out and bought a little aluminum boat with trolling motors front and rear and a depth finder. It works great for ff'ing and bass too.
I fished Davis with Willie last Saturday with mixed results, but at least I was fishing. We managed to get 12 nice trout to the boat. Several we're a solid twenty with the smallest going around 16 inches. The fish came on: ice cream cone #16, bead head pheasant tail #18, floating ant #16, scarcely tied peacock woolly bugger#10, and a #10 sheep's creek special.
It was sure great to pick up a fly rod again!

Hey Dale, nice to hear you're still around and getting out to fish , our bodies were not made to last forever,but I still get out once in a while,that little hike we took several years ago up here was allot of fun,hope all is well with you and your loved ones

Sorry to hear about the knees. Aging process has a way of catching up with us all sooner or later. I sure don't rock hop like I used to. In fact I do more fishing out of my boat or kayak these days. And there is plenty of challenging fishing to be had around here with a boat. Nice to see you back on the board. Take care.
