The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

I fished Lake Davis last weekend for the first time. I averaged about one hook-up per hour. Fish ranged from about 14" to 20". All were caught on either a wiggle tail nymph or a snail pattern. The water temps were in the low 50s. I do have one bit of advice for fishing Davis. If your mind is on other things when you leave the lake, and you drive away leaving your fins and life jacket behind, make sure you do so somewhere in the vicinity of Betty.
