Happy holidays to all you hackle hurlers. Sad to say the S. Fork is still a trickle. Very dry year so far. 5" here since July. Divers did a survey of the lower Eel this fall and counted good numbers of Salmon in the tidewater from Fortuna down. Some actually made a run on a small rise last month. Been cold and clear here. The ocean Salmon season was gang busters this year with folks lined up at the cleaning table out at Shelter Cove which bodes well for the future. lLooking forward to the usual Dungeness pig out on Christmas.
