Ed passed away this morning. I have been trying to write something that would express my absolute admiration, love and respect for this fine man. I met Ed over 15 years ago and he quickly became my unwitting role model and mentor. A finer person would be difficult, if not impossible, to find. Ed's family has not yet made plans for a funeral service. As soon as I find out I will let you know.
Ed has passed on to the halls of Valhalla. I'm sure he and Fred are already hatching plans to fish Heaven's waters. Ed took great pride in his family, in his Boy Scouts, and was a masterful "Roadie" for his son's Irish band. He also cared deeply for his friends of which there are many. His presence on our fishing trips was always a treat, and his concentration when on a stream or lake was total. I'm having a hard time putting into words the many feelings I have for Ed so I'll just leave it to knowing that he is now at peace and no longer in pain. God bless him.
