Hmmmm....Guess I got in a hurry when I saw the end of the effort. I replaced the second photo with a new one.

I was fighting that fish, when I noticed that the insert in the first stripping guide had popped out and disappeared. It had done the same thing the day before, and we Super Glued it - didn't hold. Anyway, so now I am being pretty careful, cause I figure the unlined guide is apt to cut the fly line clean off. I'm being pretty ginger with the fish (ginger with fish is good!!) Then the damn reel falls off the rod, because I haven't tightened the rings in three or four days, and I am standing there laughing like a maniac, holding the reel near the rod with some of my right hand until I could get ahold of the line outside the rod tip. Then I hand lined that silver in like he was a flounder.... It was sufficiently unusual that GM took a photo - imagine....
