OK, then this is a bug in IE6.
When I went to check them after reading Phil's post I saw the titles flash, and then they went black. Could it be that they are slipping behind the header?

Comment on the main page. On the left side there is a box listing who is logged on. On the right side is a box listing system messages, and identifies who logged in or out recently. Do we need both?

Good point. I think the who's logged in on the left is good but the System Message box in the lower right could probably go. I might disable that just before we put the link on the old site (tonight!) to start the transition.
