Instead of riding high, though, this fly will settle down in the film and its shiny body fibres, soft hackle, and CDC wing will give a convincing impression of a caddis in the process of developing into an adult.
I rewatched Bugs of the Underworld tonight. Ralph says...
"The October Caddis is perhaps the most famous of the terrestrial emergers"

so... whatever this fly is doing in the film, emerging is not it... Have any thoughts?
