My fly... 17 Years, 1 Month ago
OK, for intellectual honesty's sake:

1. Since this swap is supposed to be for steelhead bugs that you have actually caught fish on
2. And I must admit that I have only ever caught one (1) steelhead.
3. And, since I caught that steelhead on a Red Copper John
4. That is the bug I am going to tie (as much as I hate tying Copper Johns)

Whew, I feel better. What's the next step in the 12-step program? (Oh yeah, get tying!)

Note that I didn't mention what else I caught with my Red Copper John immediately AFTER the steelhead!

Re:How about a fly swap 17 Years, 1 Month ago
Here's the deal for my steelhead fly.

My best fly for steelhead is the Poopah, but that one is already taken.
My second best fly is the Silver Hilton.
So I will tie that unless the group would rather have a second Poopah type fly.

Afterall, it should be something you guys want to fish just as much as me.

I lean toward the Poopah. Never can have too many of these...

OK then, as I would like to tie my best fly, it will be a copper Poopah with steelhead hook.
