I agree that letting someone know why is a good idea, however, I don't think it could be enforced. That is the downside of an anonymous system--people can choose to reveal themselves or not. This is a good discussion to have. There are a lot of new things on the board, like Karma, and not all of them may end up working out the way we thought they would.
I say what I think on the board, but I try to keep it civil and I never say something to someone on the board that I wouldn't tell them if they were in front of me in person.
With that said, I will bump up your Karma. I hate to see someone going negative just for expressing their opinion (especially when doing it so nicely)
